The Problem
Speech-language pathologists spend up to 40% of their workday on documentation — writing SOAP notes, session summaries, and progress reports for each patient. This paperwork burden leads to burnout, overtime, and less time for actual patient care. Existing EHR systems offered templates but required manual typing and reformatting for every session.
The Solution
Asaan AI built SLPeace — a voice-activated documentation tool that turns a 2-minute verbal session summary into a fully formatted SOAP note. The clinician speaks naturally after each session; the system transcribes via Whisper, structures the note with GPT, and optionally auto-sends it.
All data is processed in compliance with HIPAA standards. Notes can be customized to individual documentation styles and exported directly to common EHR formats.
What We Built
Voice-to-SOAP Pipeline
Clinician dictates a session summary. Whisper transcribes it. GPT formats it into a structured SOAP note matching their documentation style.
HIPAA-Compliant Infrastructure
All audio and text data is processed in a secure AWS environment with encrypted storage, no data retention after processing, and audit trails.
Multi-Language Support
Notes can be generated in the clinician's preferred language, supporting bilingual practices and non-English patient environments.
Auto-Send & Review Mode
Choose to auto-submit notes to the EHR after generation, or review and edit them first. Reduces documentation time by up to 85%.
